GDR-3120LLT+ v2.0RELEASED
Show version details
This version adds support for XGD3 backups, and includes the LT-MAX feature which supports full XGD3 ISOs burned on regular DVD+R DL media with iXtreme Burner MAX. *NOTE: Hitachi v2.0+ does not support truncated XGD3 nor Xbox 1 backups (Xbox 1 originals are fine).
Click here to read why there is no v3.0 for Hitachi 32-59
Hitachi 32-59 currently do not need v3.0 as they aren't AP2.5-capable drives. LT+ v3.0 is only needed for drives which support AP2.5 (Hitachi 78/79, BenQ, Lite-On). ISOs made for v3.0 that include topology data will work fine on Samsung and old Hitachis. In v3.0, the ISO layout hasn't changed, except that there will instead be new topology data in place of where the old AP2.5 replay sector used to be, which Samsung & old Hitachis ignore anyway.

LT+ v1.1Hitachi 32, 36, 40, 46, 47, 58 and 59 are not capable of AP2.5 but were updated in this version to conform to LT+ standards.

Hitachi 78/79LT+ v3.0IN PROGRESS
Show version details
This version adds support for topology data in place of AP2.5 replay data for all XGD3 and AP2.5-active XGD2 backups. *NOTE: For drives that support AP2.5, all backups containing AP2.5 replay data will need to be patched or re-dumped and re-burned for compatibility with v3.0.

iXtreme LT+ v3.0 for Hitachi 78/79 does not support the use of truncated backups, and requires full XGD3 burns made with a compatible Lite-On iHAS drive flashed with the iXtreme Burner MAX fw.

In LT+ v3.0, backups remain the same layout, but require new "AP2.5 topology data" in place of the older "AP2.5 replay sector" that was used in LT+ v2.x and older. Burned backups made for v2.x will not work on v3.0, and vice-versa. In the case of v3.0, the firmware would be looking for nonexistent topology data on a backup burned for v2.x. For v2.x, the firmware would be looking for nonexistent AP25 replay data on a backup burned for v3.0. Either way will not work, and will flag your 360 by failing AP2.5 challenges outright.

This version is for Hitachi 79 only and has a bugfix for issues with 8.7GB XGD3 backups that were present in the original 2.0 release for 79. *NOTE: Hitachi v2.0+ does not support truncated XGD3 nor Xbox 1 backups (Xbox 1 originals are fine).

LT+ v1.91This version is for dashboard version 2.0.13599.0 – It is based on the latest firmware as updated by the recent dashboard update. This is only for Hitachi fw version 78 and 79. This fw is not required for lower fw versions. It supports XGD3 originals, but not XGD3 backups. It also supports the new AP2.6 checks however there is no longer any protection against bad/incorrect burns with older patches so MAKE SURE your burns are patched with the latest ABGX. If they are then there is no need to re-burn.
LT+ v1.1All versions of Hitachi, except 78 and 79, do not have AP2.5 but were updated to conform to LT+ standards.

DVD Burner
Show overview of iXtreme Burner MAX
The "iXtreme Burner MAX" customized PC DVD burner fw allows for burning 100% of an XGD3 ISO to regular DVD+R DL discs. Preferred media for error-free burns are Verbatim MKM001 (burning at 2.4x), and Verbatim MKM003 (burning at 2.4x or 4x). Note: "A" versions have MTK chipset, but are old and untested. "Y" versions have the NEC chipset, which is not supported. All regular features of the burner function as normal, including LightScribe, LabelTag, Smart-Erase, Smart-Burn, Smart-X, and SuperAllWrite. Even with the custom iXtreme Burner MAX fw flashed to the drive, it is still fully functional as a regular burner, not only for XGD3, but also XGD2, and all other ISOs and data, up to 8.7GB worth.

Corona and Lite-On 1175 Inside Special Edition White 4GB Kinect Bundle

114

"Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family BundleJust a quick note for those of you contemplating picking up the new "Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle and wondering what motherboard revision and drive it has inside. Although we had an inkling of hope that, being 4GB models, they might come with older Trinity boards, it came as no surprise that they in fact contain a Corona board and the Lite-On DG-16D5S 1175 drive. Also worth mentioning is that the packaging has changed compared to older bundles insofar as there no longer being a flap/window to reveal the serial number.

With the team's current progress, it won't be long until you'll be able to fw flash and/or RGH these.

Details of the unit we received are as follows:

"Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle
Corona Motherboard
Lite-On DG-16D5S-11B, FW ver. 1175, HW ver. A0A0

P.S. Contrary to the abundance of wild (and often plain stupid) rumours of late, c4eva is perfectly fine and is just very busy working on Lite-On 1175, among other things. If and when there's news, you'll see it — don't worry! In the meantime, please be patient and respect the amount of time and effort that's involved in what he's doing.

Xbox 360 Dash Update 2.0.14719.0 Rolling Out

532

Hot on the heels of the Valentine's Day update just a little over a week ago, Microsoft is now rolling out yet another SystemUpdate, this time bringing the dash/kernel version to 2.0.14719.0. No indication yet as to what changes it brings, but as usual if you're using c4eva's fw, it's recommended that you wait to update until he's had a chance to generate and analyze a set of LIVE Logs with the new dash.
