Hitachi 32, 36,

GDR-3120L LT+ v2.0 RELEASED
Show version details
This version adds support for XGD3 backups, and includes the LT-MAX feature which supports full XGD3 ISOs burned on regular DVD+R DL media with iXtreme Burner MAX. *NOTE: Hitachi v2.0+ does not support truncated XGD3 nor Xbox 1 backups (Xbox 1 originals are fine).
Click here to read why there is no v3.0 for Hitachi 32-59
Hitachi 32-59 currently do not need v3.0 as they aren't AP2.5-capable drives. LT+ v3.0 is only needed for drives which support AP2.5 (Hitachi 78/79, BenQ, Lite-On). ISOs made for v3.0 that include topology data will work fine on Samsung and old Hitachis. In v3.0, the ISO layout hasn't changed, except that there will instead be new topology data in place of where the old AP2.5 replay sector used to be, which Samsung & old Hitachis ignore anyway.

LT+ v1.1 Hitachi 32, 36, 40, 46, 47, 58 and 59 are not capable of AP2.5 but were updated in this version to conform to LT+ standards.

Hitachi 78/79 LT+ v3.0 RELEASED
Show version details
This version adds support for topology data in place of AP2.5 replay data for all XGD3 and AP2.5-active XGD2 backups. *NOTE: For drives that support AP2.5, all backups containing AP2.5 replay data will need to be patched or re-dumped and re-burned for compatibility with v3.0.

iXtreme LT+ v3.0 for Hitachi 78/79 does not support the use of truncated backups, and requires full XGD3 burns made with a compatible Lite-On iHAS drive flashed with the iXtreme Burner MAX fw.

In LT+ v3.0, backups remain the same layout, but require new "AP2.5 topology data" in place of the older "AP2.5 replay sector" that was used in LT+ v2.x and older. Burned backups made for v2.x will not work on v3.0, and vice-versa. In the case of v3.0, the firmware would be looking for nonexistent topology data on a backup burned for v2.x. For v2.x, the firmware would be looking for nonexistent AP25 replay data on a backup burned for v3.0. Either way will not work, and will flag your 360 by failing AP2.5 challenges outright.

LT+ v2.0b This version is for Hitachi 79 only and has a bugfix for issues with 8.7GB XGD3 backups that were present in the original 2.0 release for 79. *NOTE: Hitachi v2.0+ does not support truncated XGD3 nor Xbox 1 backups (Xbox 1 originals are fine).
LT+ v2.0 This version adds support for XGD3 backups, and includes the LT-MAX feature which supports full XGD3 ISOs burned on regular DVD+R DL media with iXtreme Burner MAX. *NOTE: Hitachi v2.0+ does not support truncated XGD3 nor Xbox 1 backups (Xbox 1 originals are fine).
LT+ v1.91 This version is for dashboard version 2.0.13599.0 – It is based on the latest firmware as updated by the recent dashboard update. This is only for Hitachi fw version 78 and 79. This fw is not required for lower fw versions. It supports XGD3 originals, but not XGD3 backups. It also supports the new AP2.6 checks however there is no longer any protection against bad/incorrect burns with older patches so MAKE SURE your burns are patched with the latest ABGX. If they are then there is no need to re-burn.
LT+ v1.1 All versions of Hitachi, except 78 and 79, do not have AP2.5 but were updated to conform to LT+ standards.

DG-16D4S LTU v1.2 RELEASED
Show version details
This version is for use with the Team Xecuter Unlocked DVD Replacement PCB universal for all Xbox 360 Slim DVD drives (Lite-On DG-16D4S 9504/0272/0225/0401/1071, Lite-On DG-16D5S 1175/1532, Hitachi DL10N 0500/0502).

LT Ultimate does not need a full fw dump, it requires only the DVD key. It is a single firmware file, containing all the necessary code to function with each of the Slim DVD drives. The JungleFlasher application is used to handle selection and programming of LT Ultimate for the appropriate drive model and firmware version.

LT Ultimate is based on LT+ v3.0, so everything remains the same with ripping, ISO structure, and AP2.5 Topology Data requirements. LT Ultimate retains support for truncated XGD3 backups, but their use is strongly recommended against. Instead, it is recommended to burn XGD3 backups with an iHAS B or compatible cross-flashable drive.

LT Ultimate requires the presence of AP2.5 Topology Data in place of the older AP2.5 Replay Sector, so backups made for the older iXtreme LT/LT+ v2.0 will not work on LT Ultimate. Use of older backups without Topology Data will result in the 360 being flagged for AP2.5 challenge failure.

Preferred media for error-free burns are Verbatim MKM001 (burning at 2.4x), and Verbatim MKM003 (burning at 2.4x or 4x). All regular features of the burner function as normal, including LightScribe, LabelTag, Smart-Erase, Smart-Burn, Smart-X, and SuperAllWrite. Even with the custom iXtreme Burner MAX fw flashed to the drive, it is still fully functional as a regular burner, not only for XGD3, but also XGD2, and all other ISOs and data, up to 8.7GB worth.

Cross-Flashable Models

In addition to the normal Lite-On iHAS "B" burners (124B, 224B, 324B, 424B, 524B, 624B), there are several other drive models of different brands that can be cross-flashed to an iHAS by using the original Lite-On iHAS firmware and EEPROM utilities. These cross-flashable drives are re-badged OEM drives, which means they are manufactured by Lite-On and contain the same internal hardware and components as the Lite-On iHAS, but are sold under a different brand name (ASUS, Dell, HP, Plextor, TEAC), some with a different faceplate/bezel on the front of the drive, and/or with different retail packaging.

Please note that the cross-flashable drive models marked with a * in the list below have multiple revisions, of which only the "B" revision is supported. Revision "Y" (NEC chipset), "A" (older MTK chipset), "C" (MTK chipset/1MB flash), and "D" (MTK chipset/1MB flash) are not compatible. c4eva's custom Burner MAX firmware is based on the Lite-On iHAS "B" revision which has an MTK chipset with 2MB flash.

The revision letter is usually indicated somewhere on the retail box and also on the label sticker on the drive itself. For some drives, the revision letter is part of the drive model, or appears near or after the end of the drive model on the label sticker. Depending on when a particular model was manufactured and the retail destination country/region, the configuration and placement of the stickers may be slightly different; different arrangement, dual barcodes, different certification logos, and so on. If you are purchasing a cross-flashable drive online or from a retail store, you should have customer service or the salesperson check the label on the box or the sticker on the drive to ensure that it is in fact a "B" revision.

Please refer to the gallery of images on the dedicated iHAS & cross-flashable list page for examples of some of the different revisions' drive label stickers and box labels.

Xbox LIVE Dashboard Update 2.0.16203.0 Rolling Out *UPDATED*

199

This morning, Microsoft has begun rolling out a new SystemUpdate that brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel version to 2.0.16203.0.

Although there has been no official word from Microsoft yet, it's likely this update addresses a minor issue or small change as evidenced by the single digit increment in version number over the last update.

After updating, LT+ v3.0 and LTU v1.2 continue to work fine with backups both offline and on Xbox LIVE. Xk3y also continues to function without issue on LIVE and offline.

Check back here on c4evaSpeaks.com for official word from c4eva once he's done a LIVE log for this update.

P.S. Quit being such gullible fools and regurgitating the nonsense from Wikipedia every time an update comes out.

*UPDATE* [2013-02-20 06:29PM UTC]
Whoops. I missed the tweet yesterday from Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson (Larry Hryb), confirming our assumption that it was a minor change:

"Xbox LIVE System update out today. No big changes just an update to default settings that will only be visible to certain users in the EU."

Also, for those asking in the comments, yes, LT v2.01 and LT+ v2.0 continue to work fine after the update as well.

[2013-01-31 03:22AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> Will it format if there is nothing in the storage folder?
[2013-01-31 03:23AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> Yes, at least it does on my JTAG :D
[2013-01-31 03:23AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> Well it's not reading any devices in the storage folder
[2013-01-31 03:23AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> And why wouldnt it

[2013-01-31 03:25AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> Is the XBOX untouch, flashed, JTAGed, etc?
[2013-01-31 03:26AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> untouched
[2013-01-31 03:26AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> And when did this problem occur?
[2013-01-31 03:26AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> and it was working fine until
[2013-01-31 03:26AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> I mean, what did cause it
[2013-01-31 03:26AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> I was freezing my games
[2013-01-31 03:27AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> so then I formatted and now the xbox wont read it at all
[2013-01-31 03:27AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> Clicking sounds from it?
[2013-01-31 03:27AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> I know it still works because my PC can still read it
[2013-01-31 03:27AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> queit as a cricket fart
[2013-01-31 03:28AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> Can your PC also write and read from it, if you out files on it? Or just format?
[2013-01-31 03:28AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> I formatted all three partitions
[2013-01-31 03:28AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> BRB, gotta light a fire, cold here
[2013-01-31 03:29AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <beeney22> now the pc reads it but there is nothing in any of the partitions
[2013-01-31 03:29AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> And try ask someone else, I dont really have a clue what the problem might be
[2013-01-31 03:32AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Yesper> Cant you just fully format it, ie erasing and recreating partitiontable?
[2013-01-31 03:35AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <jsinger47> what type of drive are you working with
[2013-01-31 03:40AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <^Redx508> use parted magic on a usb key
[2013-01-31 04:02AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <CarpeDiem> hmm.. not nearly the fanfair I expected with the LTU release…
[2013-01-31 04:04AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <jsinger47> its nighttime in europe, bedtime in the states

[2013-01-31 04:05AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <CarpeDiem> it involves the 0800 disc.. wrap your head around that
[2013-01-31 04:32AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <^Redx508> so if you have a Hitachi 0500/0502 you need the pcb/dgx and a DG-16D5S drive to swap with
[2013-01-31 04:33AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <CarpeDiem> yup
[2013-01-31 04:34AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <^Redx508> i was thinking the pcb also worked on hitachi lol
[2013-01-31 04:38AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <Panther42> so dgx is required to grab key of the drive?
[2013-01-31 04:39AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <^Redx508> required to get the files you need to flash the pcb
[2013-01-31 04:41AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <^Redx508> read the nand,flash the dgx files,run xell and get cpu key…
[2013-01-31 04:41AM UTC] #JungleFlasher <jsinger47> i don't understand why it is so difficult to read the tutorials….
