[2011-12-22 09:08AM UTC] #c4e <xobex> can someone explain how lt 3.0 will work?
[2011-12-22 09:11AM UTC] #c4e <MatHazard> xobex what drive is in you're machine because not all drives will be getting / need lt 3.0.
[2011-12-22 09:12AM UTC] #c4e <xobex> liteon 0225
[2011-12-22 09:13AM UTC] #c4e <xobex> drilled, and runs on lt 2.0
[2011-12-22 09:13AM UTC] #c4e <MatHazard> ok you will need lt 3.0 but I am unsure what it means, I do believe you will need to reburn xgd3
[2011-12-22 09:13AM UTC] #c4e <xobex> thats no problem, but i mean, do i need to glitch hack my xbox
[2011-12-22 09:13AM UTC] #c4e <xobex> or do i just have to patch the iso files and reburn it
[2011-12-22 09:14AM UTC] #c4e <xobex> to get the "topology data"
[2011-12-22 09:46AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva_> xobex:patch iso and reburn
[2011-12-22 09:50AM UTC] #c4e <tim132> morning
[2011-12-22 09:54AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva_> morning :)
[2011-12-22 09:55AM UTC] #c4e <Absinth> Will patches be made available before hand or after fw release?
[2011-12-22 09:56AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva_> at same time
[2011-12-22 09:59AM UTC] #c4e * c4eva_ is now known as c4eva
[2011-12-22 09:59AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> :)
[2011-12-22 10:01AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> Will the topography data pontentially needed for all games as it has been said that it could be retroactivly used via a title update?
[2011-12-22 10:02AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> only ap25 activated titles
[2011-12-22 10:05AM UTC] #c4e <Xboxnube> And according to the site, we will be able to use XBC to inject topology data into previous backups until ABGX is released, correct?
[2011-12-22 10:06AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> yes
[2011-12-22 10:09AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> c4eva, won't they be able to activate ap2.5 on any game title?
[2011-12-22 10:09AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> he said they wouldn't
[2011-12-22 10:09AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> only ap25 titles
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> when did he say that?
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> 2 seconds ago when i asked lol
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> no he did not
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <zaidy> they can, but doesn't the silver bullet bypass the ap2.5 checks
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> he said "only ap2.5 activated titles"
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> he did not say that they could not activate it on older titles
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> <Plutonium> Will the topography data pontentially needed for all games as it has been said that it could be retroactivly used via a title update?
[2011-12-22 10:10AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> <@c4eva> only ap25 activated titles
[2011-12-22 10:11AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> yes Plutonium "ap25 activated titles"
[2011-12-22 10:11AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> that does not mean it can't be activated on more games
[2011-12-22 10:11AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> lol
[2011-12-22 10:11AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> the reason i asked was that reply
[2011-12-22 10:11AM UTC] #c4e <Xboxnube> No, you would need to patch in topology data if AP 2.5 were activated I believe
[2011-12-22 10:11AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> before it is activated to avoid flag i assume
[2011-12-22 10:12AM UTC] #c4e <Plutonium> I would love some clarification on this. I assumed it was clear but I guess not…
[2011-12-22 10:12AM UTC] #c4e <Cornholio> Plutonium, me2, thats why i ask :)
[Editor's note: To clarify, yes, it can be activated for older titles, at which time they would also need to be patched or re-ripped with topology data. Read this post for a more thorough explanation.]
[2011-12-22 10:13AM UTC] #c4e <Xboxnube> I believe you could re-rip your original & get topology data if you need to
[2011-12-22 10:14AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> yes

    To admin:

It's still not clear to me if it's safe to update to dashboard 14xxx with LT+ 2.0.

Or we have to reflash to stock firmware –> dashboard update to 14xxx –> LT+ 3.0?

will you have to reburn alllllllllll your truncated XGD3s? and if yes :( why?

it takes an hour to rip topology, and you'd probably want to do it twice to be sure it's good. but apparently topology patches for most titles (xgd3 and "the 6") are going to be made available when they release the fw. xbc will be used to patch the iso until new abgx360 is released. many of the xgd3 titles share the same "game profile id" (so topology is the same), don't ask me how or why. 3.0 will still support truncated burns (except for hitachis), but they strongly recommend against it. so if you play offline, or don't care about being banned, then no need to reburn truncated discs.

So it is unclear to me. Because abgx still has a long way to go, is another way to patch isos with topology data being given?

Is it possible to patch a non ap 25 activated game back up with topology data?

Quick question, does anyone know at this point how many 'game profile ids' there are? It'd be nice if there were only a select few so as to make patching and verifying quick and easy.

I have a question. I have a console with an Hitachi v47 original drive (no AP2.5 therefore) and which has currently an Hitachi v78 drive with LT+ 2.0. I read in a forum that the AP2.5 challenge is triggered by the OSIG stored in the motherboard, not by checking the current drive. Does that mean that I can boot XBG3 backups burned with an iHAS burner without having to wait for LT+ 3.0 for Hitachi v78?

Thank you in advance for any response!
