Why are you people so lazy? Just revert back to stock for every system update. -__- Jesus. I don't even know why you ask. Thanks c4eva.

You people amaze me. STOP ASKING IF YOU NEED TO FLASH TO STOCK FIRST. IT'S THE SAME F*******G PROCESS FOR EVERY NEW DASH UPDATE!!!!

Honestly if there was a large chance of them detecting during update there's no reason they couldn't do the same checks sporadically or whenever the drive is guaranteed to be idle, I very much doubt there's a high risk for not reverting to stock.

    How about this answer.

If you don't play or ever care about XboxLive, then no, you don't have to revert back.

If you want to be the safest you can (since there is still risk playing backups, even if it's 99.99% safe), then revert to stock FW.

I reflashed back to stock then updated via usb and then reflashed LT+3.0 onto my (phat-liteon),I know i could have updated without reverting to stock but call me old-fashioned i think your risking a flag and a ban, better to be safe than sorry,

Exactly… If there was some way to read FW in update process then they would have a full proof 100% way to detect Cfw. Game over. There would be no need for all these other measures. You tamper with your drives FW next day and bam your box is banned. Simple and easy.
