   very sorry to ask this here I know its not the place but does anyone know of a tutorial for the POUT fix after a botched kamikaze hack all I can find is pics but I don't understand if I need to keep the resistor soldered to the board or what exactly needs to be done and how to go about it

     you just connect wires and resistor where it shows. yes you need to keep it permanently wired that way afterwards.

     Someone gave me comment a negative, really?! I hope whomever it was was just trolling because even with 'quality' discs not every xbox likes reading discs burned above 2.4x. And compared to the overburn routine hacking [XGD3] enabling 2.4x on duallayer media should be a breeze to incorporate. Even the people behind MCSE could enable 2.4x write support on all dual layer media codes IF they still had the drive they once had.

    I've bought a Xbox for my son. We supposed that we could play copy games. But I've learned that we have a Hitachi 0500 DVD. So my son cannot play. Unfortunately we have not enough money to buy legal copy. We hopelessly are waiting for C4EVA to do a favor
