c4eva Spoke! (2012-04-21 [priv msg])

[2012-04-21 06:30AM UTC] <******> did you end up doing a LIVE log for 14719? the update appeared to just be some additional bugfixes over 717, but wasn't sure if anything had changed on the backend (I assume not)
[2012-04-21 06:33AM UTC] <c4eva> yes, all good
[2012-04-21 06:34PM UTC] <******> great!

I'm sceptical about this conversation as whoever had it has blanked out their name & it allegedly happened in PM where this kind of question/answer is the kind that should be done in public chat so its validity can be verified. Anybody can make up anything as this is the internet & I hope I'm wrong about this but it definitely smells fishy.

i've already confirmed that the new dash doesn't make the fans less effective.

actually the voltage didnt change but what the cosnole needs for air flow did because my fans run higher now since dashboard update

there are 6 temperatures within the system files of the dashboard. one is the "target temperature" that the console tries to maintain, and one is the "shutoff temp" which is supposed to keep the console from overheating. there are three of these pairs, one for CPU, GPU and RAM. the new updates actually lower the temperatures, so if your fans are running higher that would be a good thing, as it is trying harder to keep your console cool. so it is actually the opposite of what was originally suspected. the update improves the fans.

I actually just keep my tops off the 360 since last modding since was too lazy to open after each update. Use a Honeywell desk fan tilted right on top of the heatsinks running on high. Cool to touch and never any heating issues

Will it work on the LT 3.0 Wave 14 XGD2

disc two of kinect rush is 14th wave, and battleship is 15th wave, and they both still work fine with LT+ 2.0 and 3.0. there are also a few xgd3 games that now require 14699 or above, as opposed to all the older ones that just required 13599. these also will work fine with LT+ 3.0 as long as the topology is properly confirmed with abgx360.
