on burning xgd3 games. well today was the first day ever that i have experienced not fully burning a game, ever. surprised me to say the least. the burn went all right but when it went to verify it stopped at 49-50%, any one else have this issue. using verbs, ihas124b, mmk 001, first time for everything right, but is it allright if i just play the game, because i mean it did fully burn just not verify shouldnt be safe, because it went thru abgx and all

I would burn it correctly.. like maybe you had a bad disc, maybe you had too many processes running at once, maybe you didn't disable SPTD with ImgBurn. Sometimes a bad burn happens, but it's best not to try and use it because you need a burn that the console can read correctly without any issues. Kprobe is also a help in figuring this out. But if it didn't pass simple verification in ImgBurn then you have a problem, such as a bad burn, on your hands.

i had my first fail some time ago, and the thing was i wasted 4 discs trying consecutively. my mistake was i didnt realize imgburn was automatically setting wrong booktype, that was why the game wouldnt boot. after changing that, nothing bad has happened ever since.

iXtreme fw sets the correct booktype on-the-fly anyway (that's been a standard feature since the old old plain Xtreme versions), so it shouldn't matter what you had it set to in imgburn.

@ naim and those reporting a change in their X value:

My X value never changed. Not once. I actually have it written down and nothing was modified for me. What is all of this talk about a modified X value? Xval had mine as clean prior to 15574 when I was on 14179.. and I never got the 15572 update. I downloaded the update with stock FW.. X value was still the same, I just didn't realize they had released yet another dashboard update. Overall.. nothing really changed for me that I could notice. I'm no expert, but my X value is the same as it was when I bought the console. *shrugs* Maybe it's because I flashed with stock FW. I'm not sure. All I know is that it's the same as it was a long time ago. Same console, same result.. I always revert to stock before flashing. Maybe some people getting this X value problem didn't do that.. I really don't know. I do know that there's been no change in my X value. I have a Phat BenQ, Falcon.. nothing changed for me.

Just figured I'd put in my two cents. You can think it's strange or be skeptical, but we're lucky to even be able to play backups like we can right now. This update doesn't affect the firmware as far as I know, and c4 cleared it. I don't know why you're questioning it.

They are stating that something they did flagged the console. most likely bad disc which caused a ap2.5 game to fail which would have told the console it could be a copied game, the x value changes when flagged. People stating their x values are changing is the fact that they are being unflagged, thus giving them the original x value the console came with. If your never flagged your x value will never change

You obviously have never had an AP25 challenge fail before. Its only when you are flagged that the SecData value changes and as yours hasn't then it means it has never failed a challenge to date. My own console X value was reset to its original value and I know for a fact it had a few failed challenges during the bad old days when I used an X360 dock (dvd drive emulator) before going down the more relaible LT+ route. I really dont see what the fuss is about, this has NO effect on whether a previously flagged console can/will be banned if there is ever a banwave as the hitlist is on the server side, which we obviously never see, so it wouldnt matter whether the new value is "clean" or not.
