Corona and Lite-On 1175 Inside Special Edition White 4GB Kinect Bundle

"Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family BundleJust a quick note for those of you contemplating picking up the new "Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle and wondering what motherboard revision and drive it has inside. Although we had an inkling of hope that, being 4GB models, they might come with older Trinity boards, it came as no surprise that they in fact contain a Corona board and the Lite-On DG-16D5S 1175 drive. Also worth mentioning is that the packaging has changed compared to older bundles insofar as there no longer being a flap/window to reveal the serial number.

With the team's current progress, it won't be long until you'll be able to fw flash and/or RGH these.

Details of the unit we received are as follows:

"Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle
Corona Motherboard
Lite-On DG-16D5S-11B, FW ver. 1175, HW ver. A0A0
MFR Date 2012-01-31
Lot 1205x

P.S. Contrary to the abundance of wild (and often plain stupid) rumours of late, c4eva is perfectly fine and is just very busy working on Lite-On 1175, among other things. If and when there's news, you'll see it — don't worry! In the meantime, please be patient and respect the amount of time and effort that's involved in what he's doing.

So, because c4eva hasn't said 2.0.14719 ISN'T safe, does that mean it's safe to update?

Would it be too much trouble for c4eva or somebody else on the team to take a couple of minutes out and confirm whether or not it is safe to revert to stock and take the update?

This was the way things were usually done so whats the difference now?

Its been almost a month now and by the time this update is declared safe we will probably get hit with another by MS at this rate.

Dont get me wrong, I really appreciate all of the work that c4eva and the team do for the scene but how hard can it be for somebody to confirm the update status?

What are you guys talking about? The Admin say the update is safe and it is bug fixes. That is why there is no live log. Why you guys always need it to be in the front page instead of searching?
Also Team Xecuter said it is safe.

Come on guys think a little bit, the update was from 717 to 719, that was 2 versions only in a short time, do you really thing it could have security changes? Really!
