Actually, as for the questions I recommended, I do think the admin knows the answer, because at one time or another I’ve seen the answer in posts from the admin. The problem is that there’s no easy way to find those answers other than wading through pages of crap. As you said, people aren’t going to take the time to read through all that before posting stupid questions. But instead of the question simply being ignored or people posting erroneous or speculatory answers, the answer could be a simple “read the faq”. Will it magically get rid of all the dumb questions and flaming? Of course not. i just thought it might help decrease it somewhat. You obviously disagree, and that’s fine.

I don’t think a FAQ would be useful for answering questions like, when is lt 3.0 coming out or questions that are transitory like will the current version of LT+ work after the dash update last week. Answers to those questions will constantly change and no longer be important as time goes on. But I constantly see people asking the same questions over and over again. There are a lot of people who aren’t programmers and don’t know how QA works, don’t understand that being on the QA team isn’t open to public, that there will never be an ETA for releases, etc. The answers to all those questions have been provided by admin at one time or another, I’ve seen them, but it would take a bit of searching for me to find them. I just think that it would helpful if there was a central location with an official answer to those questions for people who aren’t as dilligent and expect to be spoonfed answers.
