Does anyone who has a Hitachi 78 B400 with LT2.0 running dash 14699 or later go online and have no problems. I have just flashed a 78 B400 revision and while it is playing my backup put through ABGX and then burn’t on a genuine Ihas 124 through IMGBURN at 2.4 with all failsafes on.

Is it live safe? or do i really need to wait for LT3.0 to be live safe? or would it be safer to put my spare BenQ or Lite-On in it with LT3.0 for now.

if you have a hitachi 78 with LT+ 2.0 on dash 14699 and you can boot games that you patched with abgx 1.0.6 then it would seem your drive does not do ap2.5 checks. putting a benq or liteon would be worse. spoofing drives is not live safe.

I did wonder, but surely even though they do boot with no errors NFS The Run was what i tested it with, LT2.0 is designed to work with non truncated games, I will try forza 4 just to be sure. I wouldn’t spoof the Lite-On as a 78 just put the 78′s key onto it and keep the hitachi for updating. I’m just really unsure as to whether this 78 does topology checks or not.

read this sentence over: if you have a hitachi 78 with LT+ 2.0 on dash 14699 and you can boot games that you patched with abgx 1.0.6 then it would seem your drive does not do ap2.5 checks (or topology checks as you call it)

when i say spoofing drives, i mean any switching of drives. putting your key onto a liteon would not be live safe.

You do sound really convincing, i will try a copy of MW3 that went all green through ABGX and had excellent KProbe scores too. If that works then it seems i’m good to go. Thanks for being so frank.

i meant to say as long as you can boot -ap2.5 enabled- backups then you should be good. since the current abgx360 would patch in topology data which LT 2.0 cannot read, it should just fail to boot. if it does boot you must be immune to ap2.5 checks.

My 78 4E10 LT+2.0 dash 14699 plays fine on xbox live.
