My Xbox is Slim 4GB+HDD250GB NTSC/Japan. Its DVD Drive is Lite On DG-16D4S, and Rev is 0225 flashed by iXtreme LT+1.92. It ran well with my backup games. Until I accidentally updated it as the new dashboard 2.0.13604.0 through USB Flash Drive, I can’t play my old backup games again.

Edited more details about my topic:

1. My previous Dashboard was 2.0.13599.0 before I updated it to 2.0.13604.0

2. My DVD Drive Flashing was connecting the DVD Drive to a desktop computer using (via) the X360 USB Pro with SATA cable and USB Cable.

Question 1: If I flashed my DVD Drive to iXtreme LT+2.0, Would I be able to play my old backup games? (I don’t play online “never plan to go online” , but what if I play online? “Just want to know and keep it as knowledge”) please!!!

Question 2: Do I have to wait for the new Firmware iXtreme LT+2.1 releases which supports the new dashboard 2.0.13604.0 only to play my old backup games offline and online mode safely?

Yours, Respectfully.

From: Podolsky

Please apologize if my English isn’t good enough, and if I did something wrong, please forgive me because I am a very new xbox user as the same as for the C4evaspeaks, the Future of the Future.

Thanks in further kind help!!!

flash to lt+ 2.0 should fix ur prob . u should always flash to stock firmware then update then flash to the latest cfw by c4eva now lt+ 2.0 . c4eva says that taking the update with a slim with a locked spi chip is fine with lt1.92 but the key word is locked what dash was u on prior to updating to 13604? was ur spi chip unlocked how do u lock/unlock ur drive for writing firm? lt+ 2.0 is fine for 13604 dash online as long as with the gxd3 games u use the new burner and new pc burner fw and 0800v3 for ripping the game. will make 100% copys safe for live

Oh! Thank you so much “Mr. twisted247″ for replying me. I really appreciate for that, but I try to understand your reply, and I’m not sure if I understand it all “c4eva says that taking the update with a slim with a locked spi chip is fine with lt1.92 but the key word is locked what dash was u on prior to updating to 13604? was ur spi chip unlocked how do u lock/unlock ur drive for writing firm?”; However, I really apologize for forgetting including the detail about my previous Dashboard. Well, my previous Dashboard was 2.0.13599.0, and after I updated, it is now 2.0.13604.0. If it is necessary, I want to add one more detail that my DVD Drive was flashed as LT+1.92 by a modding person, and I watched him while he was flashing it by connecting my DVD Drive to his desktop computer using (via) X360 USB Pro with a SATA cable and USB cable. Many thanks in advance, and I will now edit my topic to complete its details for taking advantages as many as possible for other people. I am a Thai guy, and I may make mistakes in English Please forgive me! Thank you again.

My apologies, I don’t mean to nitpick but how exactly do you “accidentally” upgrade the dash via USB? Updating via USB is pretty deliberate in my experience :p

I’ve heard of people accidentally updating their dash when prompted by a new game thinking it was a title update, but I’ve never heard of someone accidentally updating the dash using USB. Maybe it was just a bad choice of wording, s’all good..Simply update to Lt+ 2.0 and your backups should work again if they were recently (after about mid-August) abgx360 checked & verified before burnt.

Good luck m8!

I already thought that there must be someone saying like this like Mr. phrizz did, but I understand. Of course, my previous Dashboard was 2.0.13599.0. Please let me explain why I used the word “Accidentally updated the new dashboard”, and Please don’t get me wrong I just need to explain the exact fact. Because I assumed myself that updating new dashboard is like an Re-installing a program on Windows, I went straight to download the dashboard version 2.0.13599.0 I repeat my purpose was to download the version 2.0.13599.0 not the one called 2.0.13604.0. Well, with thinking and hoping that will be able to Re-update its own version For example: Dashboard Version 2.0.13599.0 Re-updated or Re-installed or Replaced by Dashboard Version 2.0.13599.0 Its own version as I told before as the same way as Re-installing a program on Windows. All of that, just want to make sure if Re-updating through USB Flash Drive would help my dashboard work better than updating from a game DVD disc which I did before this, but it didn’t help like I thought.

The issue is here. When I download dashboard from a link, and i don’t exactly remember where the site was, it said in the link and its topic that was dashboard version 2.0.13599.0, but in the rar file was 2.0.13604.0 version, and I though that was a mistake from naming. While I did not realize carefully that the link might be wrong, I went ahead to extract it to a USB Flash Drive before connecting it to my XBOX and updating. This is the reason why I didn’t include this detail of the way I accidentally updated the new dashboard it’s kind of long one. However, thank you to Mr. phrizz for responding me because it helps me a lot to make sure that I can flash firmware LT+2.0 to fix my problem.

you are fine bro you explained it great! i am sorry for using bad english and im american , but no matter your fine just update to lt+ 2.0 and your games should play. the guy who flashed your drive should have your original fw and will fix you up. get him to email you your fw and dvd key and burn it to a disc for you. very important to keep many places safe. if u ever loose the dummy.bin the dvd key alone is not enough to fix it. with the 0225 drive like yours you need a full dump or a dump called dummy.bin make sure you get copys of these from the guy who flashed/modded your drive

Podolsky: ahh, okay that makes more sense m8, it just sounded weird when I read your first post. Follow twisted247′s advice in post #2432 to upgrade to Lt+ 2.0 and you should be back in business with your backups :) Good luck my friend!

You know! when saw the first reply from twisted24 and the second one from phrizz, I felt good so much that both of you gave me the good advice, and I can be carefree now LOL. I acknowledge that I am like a baby for the XBOX360 because I just bought one 2 months ago, and I’ve been trying hard to go along with it by reading searching. I have much to learn please teach me by giving your advice that would be your kindness to me. For twisted247 please feel free with your wording thank you both of you again as I told you the advices help me a lot.

Bye the way, the modding person that I told before just gave me only a single file called, serial.bin because I asked him to give me my DVD Drive’s key. Does this mean I miss only an original Firmware? (I think he needs to lock me to go to him for flashing because it’s only him who has my Original Firmware, and he will be able to get the money from me again which costs 500 Baht a time of flashing). I will try ask him to give me back my Original Firmware because I will learn how to flash it myself in future.

Alright, two things important that should keep them safe are “original Firmware” and “DVD key” I will follow all of you guys’ advices. Thank you very much. If both of you don’t mind me, I would like to be your friends both twisted247 and phrizz please keep contact with me in these addresses:
