@ Podolsky, the flashing guy is screwing you over. You need to get either dummy.bin or key.bin

key.bin is good, dummy.bin is better.
The best way to get it would be to extract it yourself, because if he gives you the wrong dummy.bin or key.bin and you use it to flash your drive, you will brick your xbox 360. Then the only sliver of hope you’ll have is the reset hack glitch. He already proved he cannot be trusted by sending you serial.bin. I wouldn’t trust if he sent dummy.bin either… could be from someone else’s xbox.

@ Blujay Oh thank you so much! this way is a pretty good and safe way. I appreciate to your advice and I will be cautious for that.

But the problems I have are:
1. I don’t have the equipment called X360 USB Pro yet. I only have Jungle Flasher and LT+2.0 firmware. (Can I use only a SATA cable to connect DVD Drive to a Desktop Computer?)
2. There are so many examples or methods of flashing, and I am not sure exactly which method will suit my DVD Drive Model and my case, so I don’t dare to risk it. In fact, I am a very new xbox man, so I need much to learn although I want to extract the dummy.bin and DVD key by myself for being safe I have to pay to get someone flashed it for me. When I am ready in terms of knowledge and equipments, I will do it myself as your advice. Thank you for responding me. Nice to chat you here. :-D

serial.bin is fine put it in a safe place. using the serial.bin and the stock firmware that comes in the lt + 2.0 pack will build u a new original firmware if needed. you dont need the guy that flashed your 360 because thats all u need. the serial.bin it has the info u need in it. keep it safe. good luck bro

p.s remember that with your drive only the key.bin or dvd key is not enough to recover your drive to a working drive if ever needed. the 0225 is special so to speak in that in came locked. with other drives its possiable to inject just the key.bin or dvd key into any firmware for that drive be it lt+x.x or stock and it would work play games and dvd perfect. not the case with the 0225 if all u have is the dvd key and do the same thing by injecting just the key into lt+ or stock the drive will not play games ever . when flashing just the 0225 drive u have to have the serial.bin for it to work.

sorry for the double post but if ur going to flash u have a hard drive depending on the chipset you have but if its been flashed and if it is winbond chipset then you can unlock and flash it with a qtip with a drop of rubbing alcohol and jf app. and if not winbond then sputnik probe or switch . since its the 0225 i would buy the ck3 to power the drive 360usbpro and the unlock pcb board if not winbond and it will be easy bro and u never have to let anybody flash your drive and charge you afer a few times you could have paid for the hardware. if you want to make it easy on your self buy the items i said and no probs would help you over team viewer first time email is jdisenhour@gmail.com if u ever need it. good luck.

@twisted247 First, thank you for your kindness. For your kind advice, I already followed by keeping my “Serial.bin in a safe place now.”, and that’s fine for the double post. Besides your post has a lot of terminologies or technical words, it still includes many major steps of process to follow which is hard to understand at all, but I think I quite get it some. However, I think your help through Team Viewer would help me much better when I have the Item called X360 USB Pro and CK3. Thanks for giving me your E-mail. I will send you a request on Facebook if you don’t mind. During waiting I have those Items I will keep you in touch on Facebook and Gmail.

Ah!!! one more thing, do you have any ideas for my case? the sticker on my DVD Drive shows Vender: Lite On, Model: DG-16D4S, No: 13C, Manufactured: June, 2010, HW Ver.: A0A0 FW Version.: 9504, but when connected the DVD Drive to a Desktop Computer via X360 USB PRO to run on windows Xp with (Jungle flasher Ver.1.** don’t know), it shows Vendor: Lite On, Model: DG-16D4S, Rev: 0225 it’s like the Firmware on the sticker not as the same as it displays on Jungle Flasher. I need to know why. So with this case, I think my DVD Drive is Lite On-DG-16D4S-0225. Please forgive me if I missed the important detail like this. The modding person also got confused with this case, and he told me he seldom flashed Xbox slim. However, he made a call to another modder better than him during the process. Thanks in advance. Chat you later.
Yours, sincerely
Podolsky :)

it is mislabeled or could have been updated from a 9504 to 0225 with the dashboard update 13146 where it flashed all drive to stock. i had 9504 after the 13146 update it made it a 0272. if yours was not mislabeled and it truely was 9504 then the firmware that your flash guy used is wrong witch explains alot. he used 0225 and should of used 0225u . u stands for updated to 0225 . might want to check that aswell

Ah! I know now! that is very helpful for me. You are such a very good person, consultant. I really! appreciate for that! For the label, I think is it not the mislabeling surely because it looks properly and intentionally on the DVD Drive. It should be like you said “could have been updated from a 9504 to 0225″. Thanks for helping and teaching me. Ah! one more thing, a person who claimed that he is an owner of the website in Thailand (a modder) from http://www.jokergameth.com. I just signed up to be as a member on this site. As you know, I tried to search answers from many places, and here asked me for a serial number, DVD Drive label, and etc. from me (I don’t know exactly what the serial is because he didn’t ask clearly. the serial for my DVD Drive or for my xbox console?). I think any serial numbers should be a secret, so I didn’t tell him. Am I right for that?
Thanks in advance
Your, Sincerely
Podolsky.

its ok to give them the info such as serial # model # on the dvd drive not your console. so never give console as it could be used by ms if your box is registered with ms but thet wanted your drive info such as serial and all label info on your drive to find out if its true 9504 or updated to 0225. you see the mislabeling was done by ms at the factory on accident so the label will look right but it was human error at the factory.
by looking at the info they will determine if its 0225 or 9504 updated to 0225 as i said if its 9504/0225 then you need to use fw 0225u

Wow! I think I am starting to be as an XBox expert like you twisted247 days ‘n days. Umm… If you don’t mind, could do me a favor to check if exactly it is. Here is the info. that I captured my DVD Drive’s photo when flashing:

- Model: DG-16D4S No:13C
- S/n: D711CG025902002RR MS P/N: X85I278-003 (in this part “MS P/N: X85I278-003″ I’m not sure if it is “I” or “1″ because the photos is blurred)
- Manufactured: June, 2010
- FW Ver.:9504 HW VEr.:A0A0

Thanks for teaching me all the time. :)

How to tell what xbox 360 slim dvd drive you have?

This is not an exact science but its a very good guide. If you want to know if the 360 slim you are looking at is a 9504 or 0225 then follow these suggestions. check your LOT #. Its on the box it came in.

1119X All 1071
1118X All 1071
1123X Mix of 0225 and 0171
1102x All Hitachi 0500
1114X All 0401
11XXX All 0225
104XX Mix of 9504 and 0225. Mostly 0225. High Probability that a 9504 is a mislabeled 0225
103XX Mix of 9504 and 0225 – mostly 9504
102XX All 9504
101XX All 9504
104X All 9504

Another method is by the serial number on the label (thanks to kiwi1hu). The 4th Digital on the end can also give an indication as to what the drive is (again not 100% but results have shown a very high probability – post your LOT# and Serial# results too)

2: 9504
3: 0225
4 or 0: 0500 Hitachi
