Hello, apologies in advance as this isn’t directly related to FW!

I run two consoles, one modified and one legit. My modified console hasn’t been on live for a long time, easily 18 months. I’ve only ever updated the dash as and when required. It was recently updated to the latest dash which was recommended before flashing with LT2.0.

I transfer my gamertag between the two using an official xbox 360 usb storage device. I was on a backup of Halo CE Anniversary, when I transferred my GT back to my legit console my profile wasn’t visible. Going into memory it shows as ‘corrupt profile’. I recovered my GT from xbox live and thankfully everything was ok, gamerscore/saves etc.

Everytime I try to use my modified console now though makes my profile corrupt. Does this mean my console has been banned? Which I cant figure out as it’s not been on live for so long? The only other way something could of happened is with a backup which wasn’t done properly?

I’m so confused and would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me understand it!!

your console is what i call a corruptor. that usually happens from failing an ap check (i think the newer dashboards might not do this anymore?) but it doesn’t mean you will definitely get banned. i had a friend who became a corruptor and he still plays online fine for months. if you have your profile on a usb drive you can put it in your computer and run a program to “uncorrupt” it so you can still switch back and forth without having to recover your gamertag each time.

Thanks for reply!

I’ve read about how you can uncorrupt a profile, seems like a fair bit of messing around, would I have to the same process everytime I was switching back to my legit 360?

It can only be failing a check, as I remember when I first tried to launch the game it said ‘unsupported disc’. Like I say the flashed 360 doesnt go on live so I shouldnt be flagged for a ban etc.

I’m thinking just buy a new xbox and get it flashed with LT+3.0 and hopefully should solve my problem!
