Hi,
I have a xbox 360 that i used for online gaming for some time but some months ago i stopped and started using it only to play fifa when i had friends at home. Last week, with some days of vacation, i thought i could start to play again so i upgraded my firmware to LT+ 3.0 but i still havent upgraded my dashboard (December update).
I would like to know if its safe to upgrade, and if it is, its ready to play or i have to change to LT+ 3.0 after the new dashboard update?
Thanks

if you upgrade the dash your drive firmware will be untouched unless you are updating from pre-13146 dashboard. it is always recommended to flash to stock firmware before taking dash updates, but you CAN just update, it should work. there’s just no way of knowing how safe it is, other than to say it’s less safe than flashing to stock first.

Wow, I didn’t realize it was “safe” to update to the current dash 14699 from anything later than 13146 without taking the drive off of LT2.0 back to stock prior to updating…

i just said it’s not safe. it is possible to do, but it’s safer to flash to stock.
