When all is released, my console brought up to date and I am all set to play all set to play say GOW3. Will I still be able to take out GOW3, load say Bodycount disk and play same as before? Please don’t get too technical as I have someone else update my console. Not my area of expertise.
I could just ask the fellow that does my console but then I wouldn’t have a reason to post

if you are talking about playing an original retail copy of a game, then yes it will always work.

sorry i misunderstood… yes you won’t have to do anything special besides putting games into your xbox and pressing play.

Thanks for the quick reply. Not talking about retail.
Just want to make sure I can still go back and play some favorites in my “collection”.

yeah other than the games with ap25 data, which can change and then need to be reburned. keep in mind any game can be added to the ap25 list when they decide to do so. but yeah bodycount and mostly anything else would be fine

Yes, the firmware only affects these new format games, everything else is the same as it was before, install to HD if you want to and then pop in the disk of the game you want to play from the HD, same as before.

Just a download to external HD /and burn kinda guy. Never had a game on console HD. Just use to save as I play.
