I would really like to get some opinions for users more experienced then me. I am relatively new to this and LT2 was my first flash.

I’ve seen this question come up a few times in the comments and I’m finding it hard to wade thru them all and keep track.

I got the silent update and unplugged my ethernet as soon as I read c4eva’s post on it. Since then I have stayed offline and but I’ve received a total of three “unsupported disk” errors (two of which were for MW3). Since then I’ve been using the “TU trick” to play them. So… I’ve definitely been flagged but will I get banned? Maybe this is impossible to know but I just want to get some opinions on what to do… Is it possible (even remotely) that I won’t get banned? If so I’ll stay offline until LT3 or whatever else c4eva comes up with. Or, is it possible that if I stay offline until after the next “ban wave” (does such a thing exist?) that I’ll go unnoticed? Maybe I’ll get away with my account for another year? If I am going to get banned it seems like I may as well go online and and milk my account for everything it’s worth…

Any opinions?

Also, I did Xval and it says I’m clean but I understand this software hasn’t been updated in over a year?

Yeah but that’s because I haven’t been online since then, if I am flagged the next time I do go online the data will be sent to M$

Hi,

If you want my opinion, I don’t think you will be banned.

My reasoning is that this error has come up on even legitimate consoles, and therefore people with unmodified Xbox 360 consoles and retail copies of MW3, are flagged for this error as well.

Should Microsoft go ahead and start laying down bans, they will be in for quite a few lawsuits.

Some people go months without being banned, so only time will tell.

I do believe Microsoft is trying to think of a solution, because they have not done anything to fix this issue so far for those with legitimate copies and consoles, beside state that they are “working closely with Activision on the issue”.

Hey, thanks. Yeah I really like your opinion! I’ve read other stuff since I posted that from other people who share you’re view. I would really like to hear other people’s opinions as well, everyone must have one

If you haven’t been online, and xval says your sec data is clean, then I think you’re fine.

Thanks for writing. I think I have been flagged tho. I think all of us that got the update and got these unsupported disk errors have been. As the admin says in the comments in response to another user: ““I inserted dark souls disc it came up with unsuported disc error.” You are definitely flagged.”
It’s just what do I do with this information. Wait for LT 3 and hope that either a) M$ have fucked up, or that b) my three flags go unnoticed, or do I fuck it and go online… I am going to stay offline for now and wait and see what happens… Just very curious as to more experienced users opinions on how this whole banning process works…

dude are you not listening, do you want to be flagged. if your xval is clean, then you are fine, just dont go line or try to boot ap25 games until 3.0 is out. besides you people kill crying over a xbox. its just an xbox. you probably have $3k dollars in backups. if you lose a xbox in the process of doing this, you’re still ahead. you can buy a used xbox for $100 or less.
