hi,
i have a Hitachi GDR-3120L fw47 Drive with LT2.0 since there’s no 3.0 for it.
i’ve tried many ways to burn maxpayne3 / MW3 / forza4 (changing settings on abgx for XGD3 games on LT2.0; new XBC that supports this drive; PPF-O-Matic 4.4.2; … ) and truncate on imgburn since it asks for games with more than 8.5gb to truncate / overburn.. but now i know i shouldnt be truncating, but i dont have a IHAS drive…
is there any way to burn those games and play it on my xbox?
thanks

hitachi 47 does not need 3.0 because it ignore ap2.5 checks. it can play xgd3 games, but hitachi drives will not play them if they are truncated. you NEED to get an ihas burner flashed with ixtreme burner max fw.

yes. c4e made firmware for ihas drives (the models are listed on the main page of this site) that allows the entire 8.7 gb image to be burned to a regular 8.5 gb rated disc. it is highly recommended to use verbatim brand dual layer discs (media id MKM 001 or MKM 003) as they are more reliable when burning over capacity than most other discs. you might spend more on the verbatim, but you will end up throwing away more of the other brand.
