I have an Hitachi 47 and I checked on c4evaspeaks.com that theres no need for LT 2.0.
That means I can play an XGD3 backup now?

who said you don’t need it? to play xgd3 backups you’d need LT-MAX which is only a feature of LT 2.0.

i kinda misread it cus it says this… Currently, there are no plans for newer firmware as these models have so far not been touched by the new dashboard update…. SO i kinda figure the old hitachis didnt get the XDG3 update..

i think if you look at the little divider line on the drive firmware listing, the old hitachis and the 78/79 hitachis are only separated by a piece of a line, so i am guessing that the 2.0 listed under 78/79 will be for ALL fat hitachis. he said hitachi comes last, so he is doing it.

Anyone have real info does older than 78/79 hitachis support XGD3 someday?

Ive not seen any info around, just some speculate. Hopefully they work with the LT2.0 78/79 FW.. atleast It would be nice to know do I need get new xbox or not.
