Just out of interest (no need to delve any further into this) but out of curiosity.. could you flash the Liteon drives with the LTMax firmware and then put them into a duplication tower casing for use as a duplicator?

And if it doesn’t work – why won’t it work? Surely it’s just a plain flashed drive operating as a standalone drive right or has it been configured not to work in this manner.

Has anyone tried it yet by the way?
This is a purely ‘technical’ question by the way as I’m interested in such things.

i would think it would work as it is the firmware on the drive that allows it to continue writing past the normal disc capacity. should be totally independent of any operating system or other software.

Works like a charm!
Maximum speed 4x – but works like a charm, bit touchy with AOne discs mind.

you wouldn’t want to burn faster than 4x anyway. and the speed is encoded into the firmware based on the disc type. you can change it. i always burn xgd3 at 2.4x.

If you use an ACARD controller for your duplication tower it should work just fine, remember to set to “overburn” and “2.4X” on your DVD duplication settings. Also, try to stick to Verbatims (MK-003) as they give best results (specially with XGD3).

@ Jimmy

I am currently using an ACARD 2054S with the latest firmware running on it.
4 IHAS drives. Working fine at 4x maximum – anything over that, and it does not work successfully on the 360.

Make sure you are using 43667 Singapore Verbs mate also.

I have a tower with an ACARD PRO 5107PX 1 iHAS 224 and 7 iHAS124. Works like a charm with XGD3 on Verbs MK003. I always burn @ 2.4X – No problems so far. I’ve never burned any above this speed, so I couldn’t say if it works as good at 4x, but with 7 discs coming at the same time, I see no point in burning any faster.

In the first trial runs I enabled VERIFY and COMPARE to check the results. All discs came out 100%.

Hi, I’m intruding even in the discussion for me to expose my problem. I am in possession of a tower with a ACARD PRO 5110PX and 5 IHAS with iXtreme Burner Max write speed I set to 2.4X while just start burning, the speed is automatically set 4X, how is it possible ?
At the moment 5 copies , 2 have failed in the sense that during the installation on the first he gave Xbox360 disc unreadable at 65 % while the second disc unreadable instantly. In this discussion I see that you also own a Acard and you ‘re going to wonder …. how did you set the various settings for XGD3 ?
I state that as the media use Verbatim MKM- 003 Made in Singapore.
thanks
