So i’ve tried and tried to get them to work reliably and gone through 10 discs in the process and only got 1 working xbg3 game out of the lot, i don’t know if its the 124b firmware thats not gone right or the 2.01 sammy firware thats not quiet right somewhere but i have tried the burner on several machines at 4x and 2.4x (i’m using verb mkm003′s) with opc on and off, always verify ok from the source and just can’t get a reliable burn from it , i’m seeing if it does xbg2 discs ok with my last disc right now just as a test because i really can’t work out whats wrong, obviously i can’t check the rips because of no abgx360 or anything at the moment :( anyone else struggling or am i just having a huge bad luck streak at the moment

What os are you using on the comp? Try shutting down as many background apps as you can before burning. You might even try booting into safe mode and do a burn to see if it is something your comp is running in the background creating problems.

I’m running XP , your reply set me to thinking, my first burn was fine, but then i got a virus that required me to switch from avg free to avast to get rid of it, and both systems are running it now, so i’m wondering if Avast is messing up the burns as i know that antivirus is renown for messing with things, only problem is i have no discs or money to test this theory lol.

Disable your AV while burning and like Whompus60 said, try to kill as many processes as possible.

I would suggest running disc cleanup, defrag to improve HDD reliability and kill all non essential processes. Turn off Internet and disable AV

ckeck ur bio’s to see if sata is set to ide or legecy ide both will work. 100% will then verifiy fine. this is many peoples prob. but sum dont have the option in there bio’s. try to update the bio’s. also plug the drive with burner max up to 360usbpro works 100% if fails on onboard sata but works on 360usbpro then u know its settings in bio’s to do with sata needing to be set to ide
