I was wondering if in the future if it would be possible to update the firmware in the Liteon PC DVD Burners so that they would not only do the MaxBurn, but also maybe be able to dump the games as well? This way we could eliminate the need for two drives and do everything from just one. C4eva is this possible???

i don’t think pc drives are capable of reading the security information from an xbox disc in the same way that an xbox drive can, so i don’t think it’s going to happen. if you wait for the new abgx360 software, you could dump games with a hotswap liteon drive and then patch the security information with abgx360.

computers can’t read discs the same way xbox drives do, that’s why there is the 0800 for ripping games. i think imgburn also won’t read it because it is copy protected or something. there is a program called wxripper. if you have a dvd drive (for example a liteon ihas) and take the case off and you put in a movie, then switch the disc to an xbox 360 original without ejecting the drive, it will think it is still the movie. then you tell wxripper to create an iso from disc. however it will not rip the security info, so you patch with abgx360. that’s called hotswapping. burned games however can just be read and burned again with imgburn, no patching needed since imgburn can read the entire disc.
