i dont care about the date the longer you guys spend on it the better
all i want to know is….
1: if you release it before the new dash how sure are you that the new dash wont flash back to stock meaning we need to reflash again

2: how do you know that the new dash update wont have something in it to detect 2.0 (M$ will get a copy as soon as you release it and will try and find a way to detect it)

3: this RRoD burning method is this the way it will be from now or do you have a better “normal” way to burn

1. No one knows, its very possible it will but previous updates have not flashed the drive since the first time.

2. I doubt M$ would be that quick on the uptake, maybe in a future update?

3. I’ve only seen two ways so far, as C4eva uses IMGBURN (brilliant free writing software) I’ll stick to that, I doubt there’s a more simple way to do it…

1: thats gonna suck if it does flash back to stock there are gonna be a lot of ppl pissed if they have to pay again to get reflashed a week or two after 2.0 release

2: yeah i guessed that but it would make sence to wait for the new dash b4 releasing 2.0 lol

3: as in normal i ment using imgburn like the way we burn now i just dont think the RRoD way where it stops at 97/97% is a very good way of doing it…. if something goes wrong you can bet there will be lots of ppl pointing there finger at 2.0

i just wish c4e would say if we should wait him to release a better way of doing it

my comments on the 3 points:

1: they only needed to reflash “regular” xbox owners once, so they all should be able to run xgd3 games now, why do it again?

2: i’m sure the firmware is designed to be undetectable by other means than what microsoft has already used before. in other words they would have to crack LT just as c4e cracked the original dash/drive firmware.

3: i believe this is the normal way to burn xgd3 games. i always have just used imgburn, so i pretty much do nothing different from before, just select the .dvd file and press some buttons, and it starts, when it’s done press some more buttons. there are just a few extra buttons now. as long as the layerbreak is correct in the .dvd everything is cake.

1: so when the 360′s were flashed back to stock that was just to give them new OFW to read xgd3……. but M$ could do this any time just to mess with ppl lol

2: yeah i know all this im just always thinking M$ will try and do what ever they can to detect it (wouldnt you) but i trust c4e and the team

3: ill wait till its all released before i download and burn anything lol

thanks for the answers guys

now the question is WHEN lol

I too use imgburn so followed the posted (new) instructions and found, as said by QuickMythril, just a few extra buttons. Now just wait and see.

i guess a more normal way would be to use larger blank 8.7 gb discs, since LT 2.0 supports them also
