I’ve heard some say overburning can be done using gd quality discs and a gd burner although its not always reliable it’s a possibility. I’ve seen some speculate that this could work for XGD3 discs as I was thinking reducing the size of a XGD3 disc would mean loosing game data or messing up security checks on the disc. Im not experienced in this stuff so im not sure. Anyways as for overburning I hear XGD3 discs are 182mb’s to big so would 182mb be to much to overburn??

Thanks.

It’s not possible to overburn on DVD+R DL’s.

Are you sure? I’ve seen many places that say you can.

Where ever you saw it, ask them what they plan on setting the layer break to. And are they going by 182 MB too big according to 8.5GB or 7.96GiB (minus lead-in and lead-out making it closer to 7.92GiB)?
