Hi im new to this forum so bear with me.I have flashed many xbox 360′s mainly liteon drives and never ran into problems.Using 360 usb, cki, win 7 64bit on a laptop.I purchased an old xbox with a hitachi 59 dvd rom(imagine my happiness).Anyhow the dvd drive was stock, updated to the latest dash and ran originals to pre test.Everything was fine. However when flashing the drive without so much of a hickup the drive will not run originals or backups.A normal dvd was fine.So reflashed thinking i was going mad, this time the laser just jumps on the inside of the disks and scans only that sector,it will not run the length of the disk and then give disk unsupported error every time.I thought it was a laser issue so pulled out a laser from an old hitachi 79 laying around(same model no on the hop). This had the same effect. Then replaced the drive motor, still no joy.Im now going slightly mad and wondering what it could be.The backups are full iso’s,patched and burnt on verbatims with a ihas drive.im not concerned about the burns as nothing works.Could it be a laser issue and i was unlucky,a worm motor?Im posting the jungle flasher log but removing part of the dvd key for security. On looking at this part im a little weary about the log..Drive is Stock, rev 0059

It has been a long time since I have flashed a 59 but, that log seems correct to me. Maybe you are still in vendor mode? I would cross reference the jungle flasher .PDF guide and see if you maybe missed a step at the end. I doubt it though but, it sounds to me like it’s either still in vendor mode or it was flashed with the wrong firmware. You should also flash to stock prior to upgrading so maybe try deleting the firmware and jf you have re=downloaded it all. Flash back to stock and then try flashing again. I have ran into weird things in the past with various drives where it should have been correct but, it wasn’t working right. Going back to stock and re flashing lt+ fixed it for me. Just make sure you are using the most current version of Jungle Flasher and have all the correct firmware for your drive model.
