Hi!
I have slim LITEON 2025 hacked with PCB and LT-1.91. My question is if I can extract myself the drive key (so I’ll be able to upgrade to LT-2.0 myself) ’cause the store that hacked my xbox refused to give it to me.

Thanks in advance folks.

from my understanding there is no issue reading the key from the slim liteons, but if your pcb is locked then you can’t write to it. i believe the replacement pcbs for slim were made with a switch so you first set the switch to unlock, then reflash, then switch it back to locked.

so what tools do I need to extract the key myself? only dismantling tools? or I need the ck3 tool?
and one last thing lol- do you know if the ck3 blaster offered on DealExtreme is legit?

yeah you need something to be able to connect the xbox drive to your computer, whether it is through a sata card or usb, and you need something to power the drive, which it is possible to still receive power from the xbox itself, or you can use a connectivity kit

So just to verify- all I need is a SATA cable? and how I extract the key?

Let me sharpen my previous reply- when it comes to equipment- all I need is SATA cable and a computer?

i use a ck3 for power and a via raid pci card to connect the data/sata cable to, although now i have an x360 usb pro which i could use to connect to usb if i needed to flash someone’s drive at their house.

i think for a slim you’d need a x360 usb pro. they are about $60 +or- $5 after s&h
