So i bought an iHAS324B (http://goo.gl/Rh4EG) and a Sata to USB adapter (http://goo.gl/SBq34), so i could use the drive on my laptop(s). When i use it on my desktop with direct connection to the motherboard/power source it works perfectly! But when i use the adapter i bought it installs the drivers and refuses to eject/read discs. Help plz!

i’ve had the same problem, its beacause the usb connection cant give enought power to eject.
the ihas need (correct me if i’m wrong) 12V to eject, and the usb gives about 5V.

ps, im from the netherlands, so my english isnt that good…

I use iHAS324B with this:

http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Adapter-CD-RW-DVD-RW-Drive/dp/B0037F1PWM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319240116&sr=8-1

Flashed to burner max with no problems, works flawlessly so far. :)
