Hey buddy, did you desolder the bridged points on the laser? The blob of solder is located to the left of the ribbon cable plug on the laser if you are looking at the plug with the screw to the bottom (this is assuming your laser is for a LiteOn drive. Another common problem with the LiteOn drive is that the laser can get stuck at the back of the drive, push your laser to the front before testing it.

I’ve got a Samsung MS28 with LT 2.01 and something shitty just happened to my 360.
This is what happened, I played Black ops with some buddies for an hour off the disc and after I finished I tried every other game disc i’ve got and they ALL say “Unrecognized Disc” or “Open Tray”. Anyone ever solved this problem!?

Free60, you are most likely looking at a laser fault which is the most common cause of the “open tray” error and can sometimes also display the “unrecognized disk” error.

This is not definitive though, either flash it back to stock and test original games on it (this should isolate the problem to either a laser problem or a firmware/burn problem) or attempt the laser replacement yourself (or get a repair place to do it). One thing though, you don’t wanna go the cheap route when getting a new laser or you will be finding that it will not last long and is most likely a second hand one. I suggest a shop that specializes in console parts like http://www.modsupplier.com or something of the sort based in your country.

Good luck!
