I want to play Dark Souls i need to flash my 360 first. Now if i download Dark Souls from 360 iso(it’s complex release)and burn it with my burner it is not the max burner i mean the new one(the lite on) will i be able to play it or not?
I heard of some CIV checks that they don’t burn to the disk 100% so u will get banned is that the case with Dark Souls and Gears of War 3(do they have CIV checks or not0? or can just normaly burn these games and have no problems? And if someone can
THX in advance

All XGD3 games are larger than normal games, so regardless of wether it has extra CIV checks, or whatever security, you will still need to get one of the lite-on drives (or at least a drive that can be cross-flashed with the Burner Max FW) to burn 100% of the disc.

As far as I understand it ordinary burners with ordinary fw using say Imgburn will truncate the image to 97% or give a burn error at 97% which you then force to close.. end result is the same though… an unsafe burn.

So in short get yourself a Lite-On drive and Burn Max FW and do things right mate.

I bought a Liteon ihas 124B from Newegg and then discovered that the Asus drive I bought 6 months ago was able to be flashed as a ihas 624B. So now I have two IMax drves. The new Liteon gives slightly better KProbe scans but the Asus is 6 months old and has burned many discs. I think there was a list around somewhere that shows compatible drives. It all comes down to the chipset that the drive uses.

NO PIRACY TALK PLEASE.

and also… ALL GAMES IN THE LAST FEW YEARS HAVE CIV CHECKS…. It just depends where they are on the disk it seems at the moment whether it works or not…

Truncating/overburning a disk is NOT safe. and only c4e’s FW on a liteon(or equiv) will work.
