Xbox 360 Dash Update 2.0.14717.0 Rolling Out

Just a quick heads-up to let everyone know that MS has begun rolling out a SystemUpdate that brings the dash/kernel to version 2.0.14717.0. It appears that it's being deployed in the usual staggered fashion over different regions as some have gotten it and some have not yet been prompted. No official word yet from Microsoft as to what the update is for. As always, c4eva and the team advise you to be cautious and hold off on updating until they've had a chance to analyze it.

Protip: That is not a question, a question would involve actually telling us what the problem is. What you have typed their is a statement.

Apparently the update has something to do with the RGH but it isn't confirmed.

It is safe to update, I was sick of waiting and went ahead. I have a Benq phat with LT+ 3.0. Of course flash back to stock as per usual, playing BF3 right now so no reburns are necessary…the silver bullet prevails! P.S. I have had MANY unauthorized disc/ unsupported disc/ failure to authorize disc..etc. and Xval states I have failed ap 2.5…still online though. C4, I believe you have won.

"unauthorized disc/ unsupported disc/ failure to authorize disc" is from bad quality burns… use verbatims disc and kprobe to verify afterwards… with burner max firmware of course

The first two errors I will admit to using a bad copy (outdated AP 2.5) of fable 2 when updating to LT+2.0. But the last one.."failure to authorize disc" came from the very copy of BF3 I am using right now. Thing is the error came up WHILE the game was running (On LT+3.0 around Feb 10), but then I restarted and all was fine. FYI… have never used anything but verbatims, and on the Burner Max firmware, 2.4x…etc. Regardless, my point for posting was that it is SAFE to UPDATE.
