Hot on the heels of the Valentine's Day update just a little over a week ago, Microsoft is now rolling out yet another SystemUpdate, this time bringing the dash/kernel version to 2.0.14719.0. No indication yet as to what changes it brings, but as usual if you're using c4eva's fw, it's recommended that you wait to update until he's had a chance to generate and analyze a set of LIVE Logs with the new dash.

Nothing is "going on", he's been very busy working on 1175. At least on the surface, the update doesn't appear to have had any effect on fw or RGH. Whether it changed anything else, however slim the chance is, can only be answered by c4eva doing a set of LIVE logs. Keep in mind that changes can happen and have happened without any immediate visible effect on the fw, e.g. the DAE.bin silent updates. That isn't to say this update does anything of the sort, but the possibility always exists. If you're fine with taking someone else's word on the safeness of an update, then by all means go ahead and update. For those who prefer to have a truly definitive answer, based on actual LIVE logs that only he does, then patiently await a green light from c4eva. Nobody is being forced to update or not update — you do so at your own discretion. For the utmost safety, it's always recommended that you heed the caution so as to not get caught with your pants down if or when MS springs something new.
You're receiving that message because it's failing CIV (Content Integrity Verification) checks. ME3 is an XGD3 game, and by default it includes CIV data on the disc that can be used both by the system itself and by the title via the CIV API. When you attempt to install an XGD3 game to the hard drive, it uses that CIV data to verify the bytes as they're copied. If that data is found to be wrong or missing, the installation is automatically aborted and that error message is displayed. The solution is not to truncate — find yourself an iHAS drive (supported models listed on the table on the front page) and flash it with c4eva's Burner MAX fw.
CIV data is included on all XGD3 games. It's included for use by the system (when installing to HDD and for disc authentication when playing an installed game from HDD), and optionally by the game itself if the developer chooses to make use of the CIV API for failure handling/actions. It's just by luck (based on the disc's contents/capacity usage) that some truncated copies can install to HDD without CIV failure.
